Doable definitely doesn’t feel like a stereotypical self-help book that any teen might toss aside. It’s not only informative and super helpful but it’s F-U-N to read!In fact the format is brilliantly designed with lots of useful charts, prompts, and easy to implement tips and exercises to go along with the author’s 8 step approach to making anything doable. And don’t be fooled by the title because Doable is NOT just for teen girls! I’ve shared some of the chapters and stories with my 12 yr-old son and I’ve used some of the strategies outlined here with my own personal + entrepreneurial goals. As a woman who loves personal story + real life examples I was immediately drawn in by the inspiring teen girl stories that are shared throughout. Deborah did an incredible job of making sure there are a wide variety of goals outlined that are sure to appeal to many different personalities, passions and interests. (ex: founding a non-profit, filing out a college application, writing a fashion blog, competing in sports, getting homework done, balancing it all etc) She also did a fantastic job of integrating pop culture references (Helllo! What teen doesn’t love that?!) and sites inspiring organizations worth checking out later. My favorite and most helpful step in the Doable process is Step 3 : To defend against obstacles. In this section the most common obstacles we face while reaching our goals (procrastination, overwhelm, distraction, not enough time, lack of information and lack of confidence) are highlighted and addressed with a guide to creating a defense strategy. AWESOME RESOURCE!I was so excited to finally get my hands on a free review copy of Doable from the author! Thank you Debbie! And my hard copy just arrived in the mail today! Eeek! I’m thrilled because it’s not a one time read kinda thing where you get what you need and you’re done. It’s the kind of book you’ll want to dog ear or bookmark and go back to as you keep making new goals + chasing your dreams. As you might have guessed I personally know Debbie and I’ve honestly never met anyone that knows how to set a goal + make a plan + and go after it like she does. Seriously this girls got skills! (I promise she didn’t ask me to say any of this:)) And the SUPER BONUS …she has a huge heart to go with her gigantic go-get ‘em personality and she genuinely wants to help you + your teen accomplish your goals as well. She mentioned recently that she wrote this book with one goal in mind : “To help as many girls as possible as they build fulfilling, inspired lives for themselves.” And I love that about her and I think she nailed it.*After you grab a copy for yourself and all the teen girls in your life make sure you check out Debbie’s website for all the amazing resources that she put together to complement this book. (Task Planner, Downloadable Workbook, The Doable life hacking guide and more!) They’re all FREE!

Great guide book for the next generation of women leaders. Debbie Reber dissects the foundational and organizational skills necessary for success. I highly recommend this book for all girls who are going places!

I can't think of a better gift than 'Doable' ~ staying focused and on task is something we can all do better. This book does a perfect job of breaking it down and illustrating how to stay on target so it gets done. Outstanding!

This book is pure gold! Debbie does and amazing job of guiding you from paralyzed procrastination to productivity! She clearly describes each Doable step, then incorporates her life coaching experience by providing self-coaching exercises. I found Step 3 "Defending Against Obstacles," and Step 6 "Doable Styles" to be tremendously helpful! I'm thankful I had a chance to review an advance copy. I recommend this book for girls, boys, and adults!

Good book!

What an amazing find...The only way you can truly understand and appreciate the value of this book, is to have your own copy. I'm on my second read and this time I'll be highlighting. My daughter has a copy, I have a copy and I'm going to order one more so I can gift someone with it.

Debbie Reber fills Doable with true stories about goal accomplishment.Having dealt with recent setbacks, the chapter on surviving failure felt especially relevant and realistic. Reber shows she can coach her team back into play-mode even after a loss. The descriptions of different styles of doing, and tips for thriving with one’s own style, come without judgment. They proved most useful to me—an adult who has read several getting-things-done books. A free copy of Doable was given me to review. Doable is concrete. Debbie Reber gives us clear methods, chapter summaries, resources, cheers, DIY coaching self-studies, a sense of plausible possibilities. Doable inspires.

Does your daughter’s life look like this? National History Day project-deadline looming, Science Fair board-improvements due for the District competition, three days a week of dance, four swim team practices a week, a penchant for staying up late reading YA novels, and oh Instagramming and hanging out with her BFFs. For better or worse, my 13-year-old daugher’s life looks like this, and so do many of her friends. She is good at her projects and activities, but she is not skilled at scheduling, prioritizing, and managing time. Enter Deborah Reber’s book DOABLE. It’s like a course, taught by a cool teacher who gets teens (speaks in their language and has a sense of humor), packed with chapter-by-chapter lessons on how to manage big goals, break them down into doable steps, wrangle obstacles as they arise, and hone in on your working style (do you like to plan? Or dive in? Schedule your time? Or create deadlines?) After reading DOABLE, teen girls will have a very helpful tool box for tackling goals, from starting a non-profit to asking a crush to the prom, which will help them gain confidence, navigate busy schedules, and challenge themselves. As a mom I also recommend reading DOABLE for yourself! I learned a ton personally from Deborah’s tips, including that I’m a “Goal Chaser,” “Long Stretcher,” and “Cliff Diver” when I work. Who knew? The one trick: finding the time to read DOABLE. I promise when you do, it’s worth it.
